Summary:	The Reference in Context team at OCLC has been trying to get a better understanding of how people look for information in a library setting. We are using a "user-centered" design method called Contextual Design to focus our information gathering and data analysis. The study provides many ideas about ways to enhance reference access and will improve our ability to design future end user oriented retrieval systems.
