Andrew White; Cecil Calvert Baltimore, Baron
|Notes:||"The Charter of Maryland": 23 p. at end.
Pages 7-8 omitted in numbering of second part.
Apparently a revision and enlargement of a pamphlet published in London in 1634, entitled: "A relation of the successeful beginnings of the Lord Baltemore's plantation in Mary-land." The earlier "relation" was, possibly, based on a narrative written by Andrew White, the Jesuit father, who accompanied the first colonists to Maryland. cf. Steiner, Beginnings of Maryland, Baltimore, 1903, p. 8.
"Evidently prepared under Lord Baltimore's supervision ..." Church, E.D.A catalogue. 1907, no. 432.
Pages 38-39 misnumbered 22-23; p, 42-43 misnumb, 26-27.
