Abstract:
French countess Carla La Penautier is on a mission to find the son taken from her at birth 12 years earlier. She believes he's in Malta, which is now in the midst of a military siege between the emperor of the Ottomans, and the Knights of Saint John the Baptist. Accompanied by a Saxon adventurer named Mattias Tannhauser, they travel to Malta where they must find and rescue a boy whose name they don't know and whose face they've never seen. Book one of the 'Tannhauser Trilogy'.
