"Reliving the Civil War" is an introduction to the hobby of Civil War reenacting. Prepared from Union, Confederate and Civilian reenacting guides, this book shows the "newbie" or "fresh fish" how to acquire and use the clothing, equipment and weapons for the common soldier and civilian during America's Civil War.

One of the goals of the books is to give out enough information that questions are answered before the new recruit knows enough to even ask them. Not only does it go into "How-to" areas, but also answers question on "Why do" reenactors act the way they do. The book includes an excellent bibliography, notes and glossary, including the history of the word, "Farb".

This book is also available electronically through your county public library from at:
