"Appendix," p. -587, contains depositions by Abraham Beach and Isaac Lawrence. Laid in the American Antiquarian Society copy (as issued?) is the 15 p. statement by John Henry Hobart, "Personally appeared before me, Josiah Ogden Hoffman, recorder of the city of New-York, John Henry Hobart, who being duly sworn, says ..." (Shaw & Shoemaker 28758). A letter from John Wells to Hobart preceding the deposition states that Davis was willing "to publish, in the same appendix, any statement or deposition that you will make."
