The prose manuscripts in the collections are drawn mostly from the broad middle of Graves' career as a writer, the late 30's through the early 50's; the bulk of this material lies in the war years of the 40's. The correspondence in the collection is comprised of both writings regarding the production of manuscripts as well as personal letters. Correspondents of interest include Siegfried Sassoon, T.S. Elliot, Florence Hardy, Edmund Blunden, and E.M. Forster.
