Abstract:

Episode two: It's hard to enjoy tea-time at the Royles now that wedding fever has taken over. Jim can only think about the expense of the thing - and bemoan the stinginess of Dave's father. Limp-Along-Leslie. Denise has a few moans of her own about Dave's lack of interest in the Big Day. Meanwhile, Mam's worred about Donna from the shop. Their right Royle gripe is soon forgotten, though, when Dave arrives with his new business cards and the evening ends on a high note with a trip to the window to look at the neighbours' new car. Episode Three: As ever, Jim's delighted that Nana's spending Sunday with the family. the men in general have a hard time when Mary arrives with the wedding dress - they're banished to the kitchen while the women women make the necessary alterations to the dress... Episode Five: Jim, Barbara and Anthony are safely tucked up in bed when their slumber is rudely interruped by the sound of Dave and Denise coming in from the pub, having an argument about Beverley Macca. Denise flirting and angrily calls off the wedding...Episode Six: The big day at last. As Denise gets dressed upstairs. Jim, Twiggy and Dave come in (perhaaps fall in is more accurate) from the pub. here's plenty of time for a few more nips of the hard stuff - though not for poor Antony - before it's time to set off for the church.
