Abstract:

Rumpole and the case of identity. Christmas is coming -- along with it a complicated case of mistaken identity. Why does the man at the heart of Dave Anstey's alibi in an assult case suddenly turn around and undermine his good friend? And what is going on behind clsed doors between the new head of chambers and his secretary Angela? One can only imagine -- but Rumpole intends to find out.

Rumpole and the show folk. It's an actor's life for Rumpole as he finds himself center stage in the case of an actress accused of murdering her philandering actor husband. Directing his client in the role of innocent defendant, Rumpole need only give a great performance and stand back awaiting the applause of all. But as the curtain descends, the silence is deafening.
