2004. Footage of the October - 1954 centennial held at Saint Meinrad --
Jan. 21, 2004. Mass and vespers with the Sisters of Saint Benedict from Ferdinand, IN on the Feast of St. Meinrad --
Mar. 21, 2004. Foundation Day. A service was held at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church. Then a caravan of horses and wagons, outriders, etc. made the trip from Ferdinand to St. Meinrad to reenact the original journey in 1854. At St. Meinrad Catholic Parish Church another service was held. Then the large group traveled up the hill to the original site of the first monastery and first church where a monument was dedicated to those structures. Later a musical presentation, "Sounds of Spring", was presented to the public --
March 22, 2004. Martin Werlin, abbot of Einsiedeln, presides at Mass on the Feast of St. Benedict in the Archabbey Church --
May 1, 2004. The Evansville Philharmonic and Chorus with the Saint Meinrad Schola perform in the Archabbey Church --
June 13, 2004. A Corpus Christi outdoor procession and service are held on the grounds of Saint Meinrad Archabbey --
July 11, 2004 . Apostolic nuncio, Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo, and bishops from around the country celebrate Mass in the Archabbey Church on the Feast of St. Benedict and all Benedictine saints --
July 16, 2004. The Feast of Our Lady of Einsiedeln. Abbot, priors, prioresses, and leaders of religious communities are in attendance at Mass celebrated by Abbot Marcel Rooney, former abbot primate for the Swiss-American Congregation, and Notker Wolf, current abbot primate --
Aug. 9-10, 2004. The annual Alumni Reunion is held at the Archabbey. Archbishop Daniel Buechlein officiates at the Reunion Mass. A Music Fest is held with many of the former seminarians performing --
Aug. 29, 2004. An open house and picnic are held at the Archabbey. Local people are invited for the festivities. The museum and various hobbies of the monks are displayed for the visitors. A tent supper and musical event was held in the evening --
Sept. 30, 2004. The Abbot Martin Marty statue was dedicated in honor of the first abbot of Saint Meinrad Archabbey in the latter part of the 1800s. Earlier in the month some of his remains were interred in the monastic cemetery --
Nov. 21, 2004. Co-workers are honored with vespers, a buffet and reception on the Feast of Christ the King --
Dec. 8, 2004. The Benedictine Oblates celebrate Mass on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with Archabbot Douglas Nowicki of St. Vincent's Archabbey in Latrobe, PA. --
Dec. 31, 2004. A New Era Begins. Justin DuVall is elected as the ninth abbot and fifth archabbot of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. Footage of his blessing as abbot on Jan. 21, 2005, the Feast of Saint Meinrad, concludes the presentation.
