An almost-perfect second book by Stephen King.   (2011-09-20)
Intriguing and thrilling (and, for some, terrifying), 'Salem's Lot was a great read. Warning, Twilight fans: if you wanted to read this book because you heard it was a "vampire novel" (which is shockingly correct), don't be fooled into thinking "vampire" in Twilight parlance. We're talking about English, where vampires hide in the dark, suck blood, rip flesh, and actually kill people--not the type that is crooning, loving, sexy, and lusty. This is real vampire stuff, and so far, it is the scariest Stephen King book I've read yet...but I didn't find it that scary. Four and a half stars.
