Sadgati: Dukhi, an untouchable who asks the village Brahmin to set an auspicious date for is daughter's wedding. When Dukhi undertakes arduous household chores in return, a tragedy befalls him, leaving the Brahmin with a dilemma of conscience.

Resumo:

Sadgati: Dukhi, an untouchable who asks the village Brahmin to set an auspicious date for is daughter's wedding. When Dukhi undertakes arduous household chores in return, a tragedy befalls him, leaving the Brahmin with a dilemma of conscience.

Gahashatru: A doctor living Chandipur, Bengal suspects that the source of an epidemic lies in the holy waters of a temple. Unfortunately, no one believes him, including his brother who works for the city water department, the temple's builder, and a newspaper editor.

Ghare-Baire: Bimala, the wife of landlord-king Nikhil, lives contentedly in the seclusion of her apartment, interacting with few others. But when her liberal, western-educated husband convinces her to break custom and step into the world beyond, their lives are changed forever.
