Abstract:

Fred and Elodie are a young married couple who live in rented property with their small daughter. Fred has a habit of giving money away a little too readily, to the annoyance of his wife. She decides to leave him on the very day he is given the sack for attacking his boss. On impulse Fred robs the post office, and escapes in a stolen car with Sandrine, a post office worker who has always had a crush on him. Fred gives the stolen cash to anyone within catching distance, and hides out in a school, where bizarrely he meets Maguette, a young man claiming to be a penniless African prince. The three eventually find themselves living together, in a free and easy lifestyle financed by occasional robberies.
