Abstract:

The papers of this American science fiction writer include typescripts of short stories and articles in various drafts, including galley proofs. Manuscripts include "The Barons of Behavior," "Making Love," and "Reduction in Arms." The collection also includes correspondence with the science fiction magazines, ANALOG and GALAXY, concerning Purdom's manuscripts, as well as letters pertaining to the affairs of the Science Fiction Writers of America during the time Purdom was vice-president and treasurer. There is also correspondence pertaining to the Nebula Awards banquets.

Prominent correspondents include Poul Anderson, Isaac Asimov, Ben Bova, Arthur C. Clarke, Robert A. Heinlein, and Frederik Pohl.
