Former assistant director of the FBI Mark Felt recently revealed that he was Deep Throat, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein's anonymous source for information used to uncover the Watergate break in scandal during the presidency of Richard Nixon. Bob Woodward chronicled the relationship between himself and Mr. Felt in this book. In it, the author writes about the motivations Mr. Felt had for coming forth with the insider's information as well as about his years in the FBI with then-director J. Edgar Hoover. Mr. Woodward discussed his investigation and his relationship with Mr. Felt over the years with Mr. Seigenthaler.
