Over the years fourteen-year-old Nathan has learned a lot about muscular dystrophy from his best friend but is unprepared for Simon's rapid decline and approaching death.

Teenagers Simon and Nathan share many of the same interests which include girls, computers and collecting sensationalist tabloid headlines, but the sharp tongued, quick witted Simon also has muscular dystrophy and is likely to die in the next few years. Suggested level: intermediate, secondary.
