They discuss their life and career as lyricists for film, stage and television, their successful songwriting collaboration in an era of great popular music, and recall various well-known composers such as Michel Legrand, and artists such as Barbra Streisand, they worked with. They talk about their priorities in choosing the style the song should be, writing lyrics for various films, and work habits. At the end of the interview excerpts from their various musical works and comments to them are played. During the interview they answer questions from the audience.
