Abstract:
In 1930s Hollywood, writer Erle Stanley Gardner is told by his former lover, Amy Thompson, that her husband is a murderer. When Amy dies, leaving her fortune to Gardner, police arrest him, but he escapes to clear his name with the help of writers Hammett and Chandler.
