胡适同学不只会打麻将

1948年底,解放军兵临北平,胡适被迫在北大校庆前夕离开北平飞往南京,对此他泣不成声,说:抗战胜利后,只知道研究自己感兴趣的学术,放松了思想战场上的努力。1950年胡适用英文写成《史达林策略下的中国》一文,发表在美国《外交季刊》,胡适自述“此文费时甚久,费力甚多”,主旨是要人知道“中国的崩溃”有两大转折点,一是西安事变的和平解决,二是斯大林在雅尔塔会议上欺骗了罗斯福,从而“抢得满洲、朝鲜,……决定了整个中国的命运和亚洲的命运”。文章问世后,台湾岛内即翻译转载了该文,而中国大陆则开始了对胡适思想的清算和批判,时至今日该文仍被列入“禁区”而不能公开出版。
