A thrilling ride into the world of magic!   (2006-04-18)
Who would have thought that this would be the one chapter where everything is destroyed for Harry? It sure wasn't the fans! Yes, this is a story that will keep you on your toes every page to the end. This book has everything from expense, drama, betrayal, deceit, and just about everything else that is...

Cheesy but not a bad book   (2009-06-07)
This is rather cheesy but not a bad book and some useful guidance could be found. Probably worth a read. Perhaps I'd get more out of it if I went back to read it again. I wonder whether it's American positivism was just a little too much for my English reserve

There is no doubt that this is entertaining, and popular. The plot zooms along at breakneck pace, skipping from one unbelievable scenario to another, backed up by what reads like Google based research. The low point of this novel for me came when the main protagonists who are all meant to be incredibly...

Loved this Book   (2009-10-06)
I read this book because of the excellent reviews it got, even though I though the gory theme might be too much for my liking. It was hard to put down. I would recommend it to female and male young adult readers as well as to adult readers. It has adventure and romance. Watch out...

Don't write these book off!   (2008-11-05)
Many people discount the Harry Potter series because of its popularity (which, in my opinion, is still letting the majority control your actions). But to do so is missing out. Rowling has created a world so complete and filled with mythology and classical themes that at times I was amazed. This...

If he can do it, what have I got to complain about?   (2008-09-10)
I'm actually tempted to add this to my "biography" shelf as well because this story is so close to how Sherman Alexie described his own life when I heard him speak a few years ago at the PLA conference in Seattle. It's a funny, poignant book about a Spokane Indian teenager who decides to buck...
Loved it! Great for elementary school boys especially   (2010-10-28)
Loved it! This book cracked me up, and I love how both the kids AND adults grew up a little over the course of the book. My 9-year-old stepson (and my husband) loved it, too, which is always a good sign. :)

AWESOME'S not the word.It was totally fantastical.Bella had to choose between her ooh-so-gud-lukin-boyfriend and her child-hood friend Jacob. This set her in minds.WHAT would she do?According to me she must continue with Edward.I would surely have done that if I were in her place.Big deal if Jacob saved...
