Superb accounting of old Cape Cod shipwrecks   (2011-05-06)
This is a wonderful accounting of shipwrecks around cape Cod starting back in the early 20th century.
I came in contact with this book as a child during one my summer vacations on Cape Cod, back in the 1960's. It was reprint from Cape Cod Press, I believe. We stayed in cottages a few mles south ot Highland lighthouse, where the Mr. Small had been the lighthouse keeper many years earlier.
Reading the book on a stormy night while staying at the Cape brought vivid images of the shipwrecks from years gone by.
Concise writing by someone who was "there" at the time and knowledgeable, gave gripping accounts of the events.
To anyone searching for a bit of the flavor of Cape Cod as it was long ago, reading this book should prove a memorable experience.
