Abstract:

Elite units, more covert than the Navy Seals or Army Special Forces, train to take on missions of extreme risk around the world to execute justice. Find out how these Silent Warriors extradite criminals, rescue American hostages, and track down drug lords in foreign lands. 3 episodes, 52 minutes each. Episode 1: Go inside the story of Mir Aimal Kansi, the Pakistani national who opened fire in front of the CIA on January 25, 1993, killing two and wounding three. This incident was the first instance of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism on U.S. soil and occurred one month before the first World Trade Center bombing. Relive how a U.S. team, headed by FBI agent Brad Garrett, searched for Kansi for over four years as he hid under the Taliban's protection. See how Garrett eventually tracked Kansi to a small town in Pakistan where he was apprehended in an early morning raid. Episode 2: This is the previously untold story of how three secret warriors staged and planned a special operation to rescue three American businessmen trapped in wartime Kuwait during the Iraqi War. The meticulously planned operation, known in the spy world as an extraction, was run out of a Washington, DC law firm by former CIA director William Colby and his partner CIA General Counsel, Mitch Rogovin. Episode 3: After drug lord Pablo Escobar declared war on the U.S. and on anti-narcotics politicians and law enforcement in Colombia, the U.S. engaged in a covert war against him. Escobar had signaled he was beginning a new type of terror campaign against the U.S. when he blew up a plane in Colombia carrying several American citizens. Secret teams of U.S. special forces and intelligence agents worked covertly inside Colombia with the ultimate goal of taking Escobar out. After escaping from prison, Escobar was on the run. During this time he was responsible for the murder of thousands of Colombian police and civilians. Utilizing high tech U.S. spy equipment and on-the-ground human assets, U.S. teams were eventually able to track Escobar to an apartment in Medellin where he was shot several times and killed.
