Abstract:
Award-winning filmmaker and author Michael Moore conducted a "Slacker Uprising Tour," a 62-city tour of the swing states during the 2004 U.S. Presidential election. Moore's goal was to convince millions of non-voting "slackers"--Mostly between the ages of 18 - 29 -- to give voting a try. The free downloadable video is "the first major feature-length film by a noted director to debut for free via the internet," which Moore says he is doing as a gift for "fans" in honor of the 20th anniversary of his first film, "Roger & Me."
