Abstract:
Tells how the moon is a key symbol in the cosmology of the Ngas, an agricultural people who live in isolated hamlets in Nigeria's Jos Plateau. This documentary, told from the point of view of a traditional Ngas bard, traces the moon's influence on Ngas work and thought during a single growing season. Includes animation.
