Abstract:

Riders of the purple: Rafter T Ranch and the Bar L Ranch had worked together and co-operated for twenty years. That was until Jim Bartlet of the Two Bar managed to split the two big ranches into feuding, just before the winter of 1886-1887 that swept the cow country in Montana Territory.

South of the law line: Texas Ranger Bill Douglas crossed the border with Mexico in pursuit of an American outlaw who calls himself The Hawk. The Hawk has been selling morphine illegally to Dr. Van Duzen who has been turning his wealthy clients into drug addicts.

High Jack and low: Eduardo Martinez Chávez has been wooing Maria Nunez, the daughter of a man involved in the illegal opium trade across the border with the United States. He finds an ally in Bill Douglas who is working undercover in an attempt to put a stop to the trade.
