A perfect crash course on everything one needs to know about the military aspects of space and how to go about developing both; the hardware (mil space systems/capabilities) and the software (human resources). Eminently suitable for nations with ambition and capabilities lesser than that of the US or the Russians. Most nations including UK,Israel and even Oz could make do with the path recommended by the author. The book, "Space:The Frontiers of Modern Defence" with 09 chapters and barely 250 pages is good use for guys with neither the patience nor the time to sift through mounds of American space mumbo-jumbo, which any-way would not apply to nations with nascent capabilities. Book is available at Indian Book-stores, at the USI library in New Delhi, IDSA library in New Delhi and a variety of online book stores like Google, eastern book corp, bagchee etc. Great reading. It was Thoreau who propounded that simplification was the essence of good communication. The Book does precisely that! A dull, insipid subject like space is surprisingly made very simplistic, readable and interesting. The quotations, charts and numerous examples which liberally litter the book are a...
