NOTE: TEXT OF THIS BOOK IS IN TAMIL LANGUAGE. Here is a short biography of Sri Tyagaraja (1767-1847) in Tamil language. The most renowned composer of South Indian Karnataka music was also a musician with many disciples. His birth, family, education, God-given talent, his surrender attitude to God Rama, and mystical talent to compose divine music are all treated very well in this short work. Sri Tyagaraja being a legend and musical sage with divine quality, it is not possible to include details in such a short book, but the author has still done a remarkable job. The book includes some of Sri Tyagaraja's major compositions at the end. A miracle he performed, bringing a drowned man back to life simply by praying to God Rama is mentioned in the book. Many such stories abound, the composer considered to be a highly evolved spiritual being.
