Abstract:

Every second chance begins with a first step. A fun, hip, music driven summer film in the vein of Save the Last Dance. Set in the exhilarating world of music and dance, Step Up is an inspiring romantic drama that follows the struggles of two teenagers, Tyler and Nora, from opposite sides of the tracks, as they try to achieve their dreams. Trouble with the law lands Tyler (Channing Tatum) with a community Service order at Maryland's Performing Arts High School. He arrives at the school as an angry outsider, until his skills as a gifted street dancer draws Nora's (Jenna Dewan) attention. As sparks fly between them, both on and off stage, Tyler realises he has just one performance to prove that he can step up to a life far larger than he ever imagined.
