|Notes:||"A system of vegetables appeared in parts. No.1 (1782), consisting of 176 pages, is reviewed in The monthly review, 6̲8̲: 433-5 (for May 1783). The complete work, which consisted of four parts, bound in 2 volumes, is reviewed in Vol.7̲2̲: 401-10 (for June 1785) . The 'botanical society at Lichfield' consisted of three members only: Erasmus Darwin, Brooke (later Sir Brooke) Boothby, and John Jackson." (Henrey).
Includes: 'An alphabetical catalogue of English and Scotch names of plants' with a separate titlepage dated 1784.
