Abstract:

And all through the house--: Not a creature was stirring, not even Joseph who has just been murdered by his adulterous wife on Christmas Eve. Fate plays strange tricks when an axe-wielding escapee from an insane asylum appears dressed as Santa Claus, and he's ready for a little last-minute Christmas "chopping."

Yellow: There's a lieutenant in the trenches for whom war is hell, because he's yellow. Captain Milligan points this out to his general, who gives the lieutenant, who is also his son, one last chance. It seems that blood is thicker than water after all, especially when it's spilled. You know what they say: no guts, no gory.

You, murderer: Lou is an ex-con undercover, undercover of a new facelift that makes him look like Humphrey Bogart. Problem is, his plastic surgeon is about to run off with his wife and lower his facelift six feet under. Lou wants to fight back, but he's a little dead right now. His mistress could save him, but as Humphrey might observe, "Of all the graves in all the world, you had to walk into mine."
