|Notes:||Beneath title: This paper, which was not published on Thursday last is now, upon better thoughts, resolved to be continued as used.
John Morphew continued the publication when Steele and Addison ceased to be associated with it after no. 271. He was joined by William Harrison as editor from no. 285-330 (3 Feb.-19 May 1711).
Title from caption.
Imprint from undated colophon.
Two issues, numbered 272 and 273 and bearing the imprint "sold by John Baker" were issued as rivals to this Morphew continuation. Anne Baldwin printed a further rival series which began with no. 1 (13 Jan. 1711) and ceased with no. 6 (30 Jan. 1711) and on 3 Feb. 1711 she apparently became an alternative printer to the John Morphew series, with the same text and numbering for no. 285-330 (cf. NCBEL).
Numb. 279 is "By Mrs. Jenny Distaff, Half-Sister to Mr. Bickerstaff."
Contributions also attributed to Congreve and Henley.
