Abstract:

Interview and discussion of Menominee Indian songs, stories, and memories with Theresa Deer Wescott of Wisconsin. The conversation took place, in part, while reviewing Menominee cylinder recordings made by Frances Densmore and preserved by the Federal Cylinder Project. The interview took place on August 31, 1980, at the Library of Congress, the second day of Wescott's visit. Interviewers include Erika Brady and Ron Walcott. Also present were Ada Deer, Theresa Conder, and Bernadine Conder. Collection includes a recording log (4 p.).
