Published by William Collins, London 1972. 66 pages with bibliographical notes and a catalog of the individual prints, 24 duotone plates and 12 plates in full color. Bright red cloth with gold lettering on spine w/design on cover. 12 x 8.75 inches. Thoronton's Temple of Flora was one of the most splendid folios of flower engravings ever published. Since it appeared in 1807, its fame has grown. In 1951 William Collins and William Rainbird issued a folio edition of the Temple. This is a reprint of the original 1951 reprint, and represents the 21st anniversary of the book designed by George Rainbird.
