Abstract:

Collection includes correspondence to and from Tim Dlugos and his estate; manuscripts of Dlugos and others; biographical materials; interviews; materials from readings; reviews by and about Dlugos' work; periodical contributions; audio and video recordings of Dlugos' readings and lectures; realia; and newspaper and magazine clippings from ca. 1950 to 1996 chronicling the wide range of events and the driving forces of his life including fundraising projects, course work from his undergraduate years and Yale Divinity School, as well as his involvement with the literary scene in Washington, D.C. and New York, his early political activism at La Salle College, his plans to become a priest, and his trials with alcoholism and AIDS.

Some of the correspondents include Steve Abbott, Dennis Cooper, Bernard Welt, Kevin Killian, David Trinidad and Lynne Tillman.
