Abstract:
Adapted in part from James J. Cannon's book by the same name, this is a documentary retrospective of our 38th President. The film traces Ford's adolescence growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, through his formative years, and chronicles his political career from Michigan's twelve-term Congressman to Vice-President to President. The documentary also profiles Betty Ford and the role she played as one of the most influential First Ladies since Eleanor Roosevelt.
