In this program, the sense of urgency and anger in the black communities in the North is articulated by Malcolm X, a minister of the Nation of Islam. It shows his influence both within the civil rights movement and outside and the the influence of his philosophy on the staff of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) as they organize and issue the call for "Black power" in 1966 in Mississippi.
