|Notes:||Title from caption.
Printer as identified by British Museum, ISTC, et al. Formerly identified as Ulrich Zell.
Two supposedly distinct editions by this printer have been identified, one generally dated before 1 December 1472, the other dated approximately 1472-1473, as represented by ISTC ib00422000 and ib00423000 (Goff B-422/GW 4057/Hain 2907, Goff B-423/GW 4059/Hain 2906). In fact these represent copies of the same edition, distinguished only by a press correction in the colophon: the uncorrected version reads "Exlicit [sic] tractatus beati Bernhardi De plantu/ctu Beate Marie", corrected to "... plãctu/Beate Marie", without correcting the error "Exlicit". The identity of the edition has been confirmed by direct comparison of Brown University, Annmary Brown Collection nos. 38 and 39, as well as the digitized copies linked to the ISTC records. The copies recorded in ISTC ib00422500/GW 4058, which give the date as approximately 1472-1473, are presumably also of the same edition.
Formerly attributed to Bernard of Clairvaux. "In fact by Oglerius de Tridino (cf. W. Baier, Untersuchungen zu den Passionsbetrachtungen in der Vita Christi des Ludolf von Sachsen. Bd. 2. Salzburg, 1977 (Analecta Cartusiana 44,2), p. 279f.) (BSB-Ink)"--ISTC.
