With it are printed Barber's own long letter of 1847 to the Courier [Hobart Town Courier], giving the circumstances which led to his transportation; and also the main part of his evidence, relating to Norfolk Island, given to the select committee of 1858 appointed in London to consider his petition for compensation.--editor's note.
