Diary Thursday May 1-June 16, 1898 and September 27-October 17 recording a trip by wagon from east of Poynette, Wisconsin to Bedford, Iowa made by Jennings and her family to visit an aunt. The diary records the trip there and back, but not the visit. The return route is different than the outbound route. Jennings mentions traveling through Leeds, Keyeser, Madison, Freeport, DeWitt, Cedar Bluffs, Iowa City among other places. The return trip mentions Creston, Patterson, Des Moines, Marshalltown, Crossing the Mississippi at McGregor, Prairie du Chien, Boscobel, Sauk City, Prairie du Sac, Arlington. She mentions traveling with Ma, Pa, Frank, Agnes, and Ona. At the end of the book are 32 pages of household accounts. Stamped inside front and back covers in red: Elna A. Jennings, Columbia Co. Wis.
