Identification of the S.S. City of Sydney is based on research by Eugene Williams, email dated May 5, 2003. Second ship was previously identified as the S.S. City of Peking, however footage of the three-masted second ship does not match still images of the four-masted City of Peking at: www.history.navy.mil/photos/events/spanam/events/pi-reinf.htm and www.spanamwar.com/cityofpeking.htm.
