An introduction followed by eleven photographs of the Kuba king Mbop Mabiinc maKyen (ruled 1939-1969), and the life of the town of Mushenge, the Kuba capital, all but one taken by Eliot Elisofon in two days in 1947. In all, during that trip to Mushenge, Elisofon took 200 photographs which are now in the Eliot Elisofon Photographic Archives at the National Museum of African Art in Washington, DC.
