This Dorling Kindersley guide to 100 varieties of domesticated cats covers basic subjects, such as behavior, origins, grooming, health, first aid, and diet, and gives tips on showing cats, reproduction, and other subjects. Each breed, divided into two alphabetical sections (longhair and shorthair), is concisely described and illustrated by 750 superb full-color photographs. Extensive diagrams, charts and tables provide information on birthing, maternal behavior, and kitten development. Taylor is a British veterinarian, and Negus is an editor of Cat World International magazine. A circulating copy is recommended along with one for reference.
