Abstract:

We live in a global community. Events and circumstances that cause change in one nation and among one people immediately cause change on a global scale. This series describes the leading organizations that function at an international level. Some of these organizations fall under the direction of the "super" organization, the United Nations. Others work with and for the people of the different nations, providing aid in time of need, helping solve crimes that cross international borders, and bringing the full force of public opinion to bear on the actions of nations. These books reveal each organization's mission and major activities, its history, and the structure that lets its vision be played out around the world.
