Union mass meeting! : The friends of the government of the United States, and supporters of the national and state authorities, without regard to party distinction, will assemble in mass convention at Chester! On Thursday, October 8th, in the afternoon and evening commencing at 2 and 7 o'clock, P.M. Come men of Pennsylvania, in the spirit of freedom, to support your brave brethren who are in arms ... your government, and for the protection of your property and homes. Come! all who are in favor of the supremacy of law, order and the Constitution, and who  wish to avoid the anarchy and despotism which an atrocious rebellion would impose on the freemen of the United States. The following gentlemen will be present and address the meeting: Gov. Andrew G. Curtin, Gen. B.F. Bruce, of New York, Col. R.S. Mathews, of Baltimore, Col. Philip S. White, of Philadelphia, John W.
