Response by Emanuel De La Motta and the Scottish Rite's Supreme Council of the Thirty-Third Degree for the Southern Jurisdiction to Joseph Cerneau's response to his own expulsion from the order after being declared an "imposter of the first magnitude."
Although signed on p. 61 "Done and delivered under my hand and stamp ... the 5th day of September, 1814. E. De La Motta," and issued from New York, this was officially issued by the Scottish Rite's Southern Supreme Council. Cf. Walgren, K.L. Freemasonry, no. 1418.
