The program has four guiding principles: 1) academically rigorous program of work; 2) specific courses designed to enhance skills; 3) international and U.S. trends in education made relevant to Belizean culture; 4) affordable, accommodating and enjoyable. Director of Human Resources Development OAS, Santos Mahung summarizes the success of the program by saying it will increase significantly the human resources capacity within the educational system of Belize.
