Bookplate, 8.2 x 8.5 cm, on pastedown endsheet, picturing two standing lions on either side of a framed oval with dark and light horizontal stripes, surmounted by a five-pointed crown, left of which is a mitre and right of which is a crozier. Beneath this device is a panel with the words "Ex Cata go Bibliothecae Cavmartinae"; beneath this panel is a white oval in which H405 has been written in manuscript.
Bookplate, 7.4 x 5.5 cm, on recto of free endsheet, facing title page; a double-rule frame with an "R" in upper right-hand corner, frames a grey oval, surrounded by laurels, divided into two fields by a white chevron, above which are two five-pointed stars on either side of a recumbant crescent, and below which is a shock of wheat; the oval is surmounted by a nine-pointed crown, and under it is written: "Dionys. Franc. Secousse Eques in Paris Curia Patroet é Reg. Human litter. Acad. 17".
