The Voyages of Dr. Dolittle has been edited by Patricia and Frederick McKissack, who also wrote the forward. Insensitive words and references have been rewritten within the style, as much as possible, of the orginal author. Illustrations by Michael Hague are in both black & white and color. They are energetic, enticing. If you/your community are fans of Dr. Dolittle, it may be well to have both the orginal and edited copies of this book.
