The case relates to a wage dispute during World War I involving three Twin Cities (Minnesota) firms engaged in war production. The workers claimed that the companies were paying wages below the standards set by the National War Labor Board. The latter supported the claim, but the workers were not able to collect from the government. Arthur Le Sueur and Thomas E. Latimer represented the workers in the case.
