Good addition to the library
It seems to me this is more of a series of stories with the Dad as the linking character. First it's Halloween mischief Jimmy gets into, then it's the first day of hunting season, and next a championship football game. Dad doesn't wish his son Jimmy to work for the railroads in the 1940's. ...

It seems to me this is more of a series of stories with the Dad as the linking character. First it's Halloween mischief Jimmy gets into, then it's the first day of hunting season, and next a championship football game. Dad doesn't wish his son Jimmy to work for the railroads in the 1940's. He sees no future in it and wants his son to stay in school.
