Abstract:

An investigation in the death of the Ernesto Che Guevara that recounts the entire span of his life, but focuses on his final days in Bolivia where, after months of struggle to spread the revolution begun in Havana, he is wounded, captured, and soon after executed. Ratner and Smith analyze and reference internal government documentation that present the case that the CIA not only knew of and approved the execution, but was instrumental in making it happen.
